Communicating with Youth about Animal Exploitation

This resource provides knowledge, tips, and tools specifically intended to make discussion around animal exploitation suitable for youth.
Farm Sanctuary hosts an annual Celebration for the Turkeys, an autumn event that draws hundreds of visitors for a weekend of education, comradery, a communal Thanksgiving meal, and time spent with rescued animals. On this occasion, the turkeys in particular are celebrated with their own outdoor banquet of fresh vegetables and pumpkin pies. Crowds gather around to watch and photograph the turkeys, who jubilantly enjoy their meal. Each year the event boasts a lineup of popular speakers on topics such as animal rights, activism, plant-based eating, sociology, and health. Farm Sanctuary was the first sanctuary of its kind, founded in 1986 for the purpose of rescuing and advocating for farmed animals. Learn more at https://www.farmsanctuary.org.
