Edgar’s Mission is a nonprofit sanctuary for farmed animals with a vision for a humane and just world for all. They rescue and provide sanctuary to animals in need, and as of 2020 they are providing lifelong love and care to over 450 rescued animals. Through education, outreach, advocacy, community enrichment, and farm tours, the sanctuary encourages people to expand their circle of compassion to include all animals. Edgar’s Mission sanctuary is set on 153 peaceable acres in Victoria, Australia, about 60 km north of Melbourne. While most activities happen on site, founder Pam Ahern often does public speaking farther afield. One of Edgar’s Mission’s oft quoted statements is “If we could live happy and healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn’t we?” Learn more at https://www.edgarsmission.org.au.

Also, the pitch of their voice is more likely to be steady when feeling positive emotions, whereas it may go up and down more when they are feeling distressed.
